Particularly popular in the Midlands are Dick's barn-dance and ceilidh band called Mind Your Own Business. Dick mainly plays accordion in this band, with Pete Geoghegan on guitar and Pat Heslip on fiddle. Pat doubles as caller, and Pete and Dick between them sing a great variety of songs to make the evening go with a swing. The emphasis is on fun, fun, fun. When needed, other musicians swell their ranks too, e.g. on bass guitar and percussion. If excellent female vocals and whistle are required, Pete's wife, Stevie Geoghegan, joins the band, also providing tambourine and triangle!
