Wanderin Trilbys

The Wanderin’ Trilbys are a trio of seasoned professional musicians playing good acoustic music with strong vocal harmonies.Three musicians who have pooled their respective talents to provide a different slant on many well known songs. Seasoned professionals with mutual respect for each others abilities, taking their music back to the roots and having fun in the process.

Andy Wain : Dobro, steel guitar, vocals.Andy has over 20years experience as a professional musician. Playing steel guitar and Dobro in bands such as Cotton Gin as well as smaller formats and as a studio session guitarist. After taking some time out to pursue other business ventures he is back doing what he loves best.

Pete Meyrick : Acoustic guitar, bass, vocals. Pete started out playing Blues and Soul but over the years has played for a wide variety of artists, from touring Chicago Bluesmen to Country Stars of the Grande Ole Opry. The last three years were spent touring as the bass player with the Raymond Froggatt Band. When not making music Pete likes nothing more than whittling away on some old piece of wood.

Derek Holt : Acoustic guitar, bass, vocals. Founder member of Climax Blues Band who toured the world extensively, recording over 20 albums, had chart success both sides of The Atlantic. Backed artists such as Chuck Berry, Lynnrd Skynnrd, ZZ Top and BB King to name but a few. Has written songs with the likes of Timothy B Schmit of The Eagles and Lisa Loeb. Bumped into the Queen once but she didn’t recognise him. Enjoys playing music in this format with a great bunch of like minded musicians with the emphasis
on having a good time.

Their repertoire covers musical genres from both sides of the Atlantic, from - Blues to Bluegrass, Roots to Rock and Pop - and all points in between.
