Dominic’s entrance into the X Factor came earlier than he had originally envisaged. The lowering of the age limit to 14 allowed Dominic to enter 12 months earlier than he had planned, and the only objective had been for him to leave the audition room with confirmation that he had ‘something special’ and that his pursuing a career in music was the right thing to do.
The next 4 months were a whirlwind lesson. Having received such positive comments from Simon, Louis, Sharon and Dannii, his subsequent progression to the last 6 boys and the extensive positive media coverage – the confirmation that Dominic had sought was clear, he did have something special and he was certainly on the right track.
Dominic returned to X Factor in 2009 to give it another try and although he reached the final 50 contestants sadly didn’t make the final 12 line up. He however remains undeterred and plans to follow his dream.
