Mal originates from Liverpool, or at least Merseyside, but don't hold that against him! He has been an entertainer for over twenty years and his experience is vast. His early days were spent honing his unique blend of humour in cabaret. The list of stars he has worked with in live situations and television, is a veritable who's who of showbiz, including, Victoria Wood, Cliff Richard and Jasper Carrott.
He now concentrates on the corporate entertainment scene, where he is extremely successful. His ability to adapt to any situation and brief, have afforded him a following that many would envy. Companies who book him are always impressed and invariably wish to rebook. Many are keen to share their admiration, and letters of praise and admiration are legion. One of the reasons he is so successful in the corporate market is due to the fact that he is able to personalise much of his material towards the company. His act also features, if requested, a really funny spoof "This is Your Life" routine, which can be aimed at an unsuspecting victim!
A telling comment came recently from Vic Hill, Chief Executive of Santander Consumer based in Redhill who said "the reason I booked Mal for our Christmas party, at the Grand Hotel, Brighton, was that after reading his biography I realised that although he doesn't have a high media profile Mal directs all his energies towards being a funny after dinner speaker, which was exactly what I was looking for and so it proved. A very funny 'This is Your Life' was inflicted on me which my staff thought exceptionally hilarious!"
Mal is also an excellent presenter. Last year Mal hosted the Pub of the Year Awards at Pride Park, Derby for Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries. This year he recently compered the National Angling Awards for Emap Active (magazine publishers).
During the summer he is busy with golf and sporting functions (he is a firm favourite at the famous Belfry golf complex), and has recently worked with Sir Bobby Charlton, Steve Redgrave and Nick Faldo.
